COMPUTATIONAL CHEMISTRY Black Diamond Therapeutics is a next- wave cancer precision medicine company. Black Diamond pioneered the development of selective medicines for patients with genetically defined cancers driven by oncogenes activated by allosteric mutations. Using its mutat ion, allostery and pharmacology (MAP) computational and discovery platform, Black Diamond is uncovering new ways to functionally assess the mutational landscape of individual oncogenes - to discover and validate new targets and develop novel approaches to creating highly selective therapeutics. Black Diamond has an immediate need for a Research Investigator, Computational Chemistry. Reporting to the Director of Computational Sciences & Proteomics , the incumbent will drive drug discovery projects through close collaboration with others to reshape and extend the pipeline of precision oncology medicines. With the application of computational approaches, the incumbent will create models and simulations of drug binding to target to advance the discovery of thera peutics against allosteric mutant oncogenes . Key Duties & Responsibilities: ? Actively participate in a multi- disciplinary collaborative drug discovery team ? Develop computer models for simulation of drug binding ? Perform virtual screening using structure- based drug design Qualifications: ? Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry or related scientific field with a knowledge of medicinal chemistry ? At least 3+ years in structure- based drug design in a pharmaceutical and/or biotech environment ? Demonstrated tr ack record in application of computational tools to successful advancement of drug discovery projects ? Proven ability to contribute to progression of compounds from hit identification to clinical candidates ? Exceptional communication and presentation skills ?
